Lessons in Bridge Playing By Oswald Jacoby
South opens two no trump with 21 points while a strong five card suit compensates. North raises to game and the hand shows a path to four clubs and a potential slam if spades cooperate. If South refuses the first spade trick West can defeat by heart switches, but proper play yields a safe game and possible slam with careful club and spade management.
