GLOUSTER Chairman Ralph Hines directs the Red Cross drive and reports encouraging returns from several precinct workers. No figures are released as canvassing is not finished. The town committee began work Wednesday and aims to complete canvassing soon. Some homes were missed on first calls and will receive return visits. Residents asked to contact workers or captains if any areas are overlooked.

Firemen Contain Blaze at Morris Residence Flue
Fire department responded to a 10 30 a m alarm Wednesday at the Morris residence Route 78 over the Trimble Township corporation line. Crews found the fire confined to a flue with virtually no property damage.
