Future of Southeast Ohio Agriculture Highlighted by OSU Leader
Dr. Roy M. Kottman of Ohio State University urged the Southeastern Ohio region to diversify farming. He cited Meigs County beef cattle doubling in 15 years and proposed developing recreation, grape farming, and water activities to attract investment, noting a wine producer paying 175 dollars per ton and potential 4 tons of grapes per acre on 80 dollars per acre input.
