Buddy Martin Captures Three Wins In Kyger Creek Horse Show
Buddy Martin of Arabia won three first place awards at Kyger Creek High School in Gallipolis. He topped the pickup race with Jody in 10.9 seconds, the stake race on Sting Ray, and the flag race again on Jody in 9.8 seconds. Other multiple winners included Marjorie Houck and Mrs Lucille Leifheit.

Two Minor Crashes Reported in Gallia County
Gallipolis police investigated a two car collision at 1 02 p.m. Monday in front of 525 Third Ave. Henry N Williams 56 Gallipolis and Evelyn G Evans 51 Gallipolis were involved with no injuries and minor damage. A second minor crash occurred at 12 15 p.m. in the 400 block of Second Ave Betty Sue Kauff 31 Point Pleasant backed out of a parking zone and struck a 1964 Honda motorcycle owned by Steven George of 84 Grape St. There was minor damage to the cycle and none to the car.

Johnson, recently returned from the Ohio Penitentiary where he serves a 220 year sentence, says he and Blankenship drank heavily and saw Blankenship set fire to the Crown City home. GALLIPOLIS An honest mistake sent seven men and two fire trucks to the Colony Theater at 8 15 p m Monday. There was no fire. Fire Chief James A North Up blamed a flickering theater sign seen from Cecil Elmore s 410 Third Ave residence for the alarm.
