Logan Road improvement plans weigh pavements and bridges
County engineer staff review sections of Logan-McArthur road south of Logan from the waterworks to the current road for August contract potential. Proposals include reinforced concrete or brick with asphalt on a concrete base. Additional projects include a new 55 foot span concrete beam bridge at Winona and small slab bridge at the Smith farm, plus small structures on the Logan Laurelville pike. State forces advance Logan New Lexington highway work east of Logan toward New Straitsville, creating a continuous hard surface from Logan to New Straitsville and easing winter hazards. Marriage licenses awarded to Guy Drennings and Arietta Mathias, Delmer Later and Grace Beavers, with magistrate J. P. Miller officiating.
