The New Pipe Organ Improves Yet Lacks Volume

A large Methodist church crowd heard Dr. Miner C. Baldwin of New York play the new pipe organ in a Monday recital. Delicacies and orchestral effects pleased listeners but a volume deficiency marred the performance, possibly due to placement, instrument, or operator. Miss Ryan and Miss Casto rendered solos well, though audiences hoped for organ accompaniment rather than piano.
