City Council Speeds Street Work With Two Special Meetings

Athens Two-Car Crash Injures Two Men Shortly After
Athens police completed an investigation into a Monday evening two-car crash that left Alfred Ogunfeymi 19 of Hill and Ricky 20 of Lakeview Apartments injured. Ogunfeymi reportedly ran a red light on West State Street, colliding with a car driven by Stanley Wilson 36 Albany on North Congress Street. Wilson was identified by police and both Ogunfeymi and Wilson’s passenger were injured.

Nelsonville area teacher to lead Bicentennial Youth Debates
Linda Williams of Athens Route 4 to direct sectional coordinators for Bicentennial Youth Debates in 130 high schools across 13 districts in Southeast Ohio. The NEH funded program, via Speech Communication Association, features Lincoln-Douglas debates ext emporaneous and persuasive speaking on American history with district and sectional finals and a national contest next June.
