Nelsonville hosts the Zanesville Armcos, a top Muskingum Valley colored team, at Eagle Park Sunday afternoon June 28 with a 2 30 start. The Armcos have one loss this season while the Nelsonville Eagles have won six straight. Mrs E G Clifton runs brass and woodwind classes at her studio on West Washington St during C A Nuffziger’s summer absence. The WBA Club meets Friday night at Mrs Rilla Andersons home on Myers St.

NELSONVILLE Miss Nell Dowler hosted the Queen Esther Society at her Jackson Street home. In a business session led by Mary Catherine Miller, officers for the coming year were elected: President Martha Galvin, Vice President Margaret Bland, Secretary Margaret Snowden, Treasurer Vera Coalhley, and News Reporter Margaret Bland. Mite boxes were opened, prizes awarded to Paulett Davis and Mrs. Elda Patton, 14 members plus advisor Mrs. Elda Patton attended.
