Bellefontaine reports Roy Harvey a 40 year old World War veteran, former room proprietor, is under guard in a hospital after a deadly assault on relatives. The attack killed Lawson B. Harvey, 76, with a club, while another uncle Edward Harvey, 63, was stabbed, and Mrs. Lawson B. Harvey, 72, was beaten. Roy Harvey cut his own throat.

Five men including Jimmy Wedell, famed speed flier, died Sunday in separate crashes near Patterson Louisiana and during mid air collision near Rutland. The student pilot was seriously injured. W J McMullen and R L Oaks, roosevelt Field pilots, died. James Carl Ryan and Dr Robert Thomas Plummer perished in crashes near Triazola Illinois. Wedell trained a plane for the London to Melbourne race.
Alberta premier John E. Brownlee faces seduction charges by Vivian MacMillan a 19 year old stenographer and daughter of a railway engineer Allen MacMillan former Edson mayor joins as plaintiff with unspecified damages. Brownlee counterclaims seek 10000 damages naming Caldwell son of an Edmonton minister and former fiancé of Vivian. Vivian came from Edson for a government job then filed charges in the Supreme Court.
Five spectators were killed when an airplane collapsed into a crowd watching a Yugoslav aviation show near the Hungarian border. Three more people are reported dying from injuries, with witnesses describing a tragic scene at the event in Be misce.

Cincinnati June 25 Edward J Gainor president of the National Association of Letter Carriers reported increased non essential expenditures by the people. He pointed to more attendance at hall games race tracks boxing bouts and other amusements and said the idea prosperity comes by saving is absurd and dangerous.
Cleveland reports that the national average of steel works operations fell three points to 59 percent last week, a smaller decline than expected, per The Magazine Brief.

John Crowe, a hermit killer, eluded a several hundred strong posse at Wolcott Woods after killing Clarence Yuskis Jr. and his hired man Julian Karvauskas and wounding Mrs. Yuskis. Crowe fled to a shack and vanished into nearby fields, leaving two dead and one wounded as authorities pressed the search with machine guns and tear gas.
Columbus report states 26-year-old Irmel Kittrells of Hillsboro was scheduled to die in the electric chair tonight for the murder of Thomas Mitchell, a wealthy Hillsboro retiree. Governor White’s intervention was the only thing that could halt the execution.
Edward Hughes aged 82 fell from a barn loft while seeking a hay cradle and died at Holzer Hospital. The Gallia County farmer lived near Thurman and suffered two broken legs in the accident. Funeral services will be held in Thurman Tuesday.
