Sewage Disposal Review Presented to Middleport Council
Middleport village council, in a special session led by Mayor C. O. Fisher, reviewed progress on complying with Ohio sewage treatment laws. Bernard Fultz outlined history from 1946 permits to current disputes with Ralph Wolpert Co over $1500 in engineering fees, and discussed expanding plans to include First Ward and Gravel Hill areas. Council agreed to request Health Department specs, meet Wolpert reps, and prepare a concise report of needs while ironing out issues with the firm. An earlier sewer trunk location debate stalled relocation and inclusion of additional areas. An appropriation ordinance for four Boswell addition lots to be used by the Park Association passed on final reading, with one dissent. A small village truck purchase and new street commissioner appointment were briefly noted with no action.
