Athens County woman dies in Route 33 crash
The Plains resident Tonya R. Patterson. 35, died at the scene when her tan 1999 Oldsmobile Bravado left Route 33 west of East State Street, overcorrected, hit an embankment and overturned into a ravine. Speed is suspected. seat belt not worn. Responding agencies included Athens EMS, city and volunteer fire departments, and the county coroner.
