Route 682 Crash Hurts 3 Persons
Three people were taken to O'Bleness Memorial Hospital after a two car crash on Route 682 near Route 56 at 6 45 p m Monday. Vickie L Cain 16 of Albany drove onto Route 682 from a private drive into the path of Robert Bean II 16 of 10 Walker St Bean suffered head and face lacerations Sandra J Jolley 21 of Albany had severe leg lacerations and Cain was cited for failure to yield the right of way. In a second crash Carolyn Cain 26 of Nelsonville was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead after driving into the rear of Robert North 28 of Murray City on Route 33 near Route 691 in York Two at 11 25 a m Monday. Both cars had stopped for a third auto turning left when the crash occurred as they began to move.

SEOMS OK First Trips To Athens Hospital
Southeast Ohio Emergency Medical Service SEOMS OK made two emergency runs since starting last week. Virgie Romine of Conestoga Trailer Court was taken to O Bleness Memorial Hospital with abdominal pains at 8 15 a m Friday. Robert C Troxel of Athens Route 1 was brought to the hospital from Juncee baseball fields at 9 45 p m Thursday after a possible fractured nose. The post operates from Richland Area Fire Department headquarters and can be reached at 593 3339.

Fire Strikes General Hocking Brick Co in Logan
A fire at the General Hocking Brick Co on Zanesville Avenue caused about 2000 in damage. Logan firefighters were alerted at 5 53 p m and battled the blaze for two hours at the rear of the plant near the Hocking County highway depot. Flames fed by oil from fans spread to timber in the clay storage area. cause was not determined.
