Navigator Harry W. Lyon and Radio Operator James Warner, Americans on the Southern Cross, plan to depart Australia soon and return to the United States after a celebrated Brisbane Sydney reception. They said they wished to go home despite the acclaim for Captain Kingsford Smith and Captain Ulm. Lyon disclosed a $2,000 navigational fee from California to Suva. the fliers were lauded at a civic reception where they received a $20,000 check from Marcus Oldham.
