80 Applicants for Logan Schools Superintendent Post
Logan Board president Don Russell told a Welcome Wagon meeting that 80 persons have applied for the superintendent job. He urged constructive suggestions from the Greater Hacking Citizenship Council and cautioned the district may need higher pay for a strong candidate. Russell said a successor to Dwight Diller will be named by July and a levy for a new high school depends on hiring a new leader. He noted elementary space needs and repairs, possible kindergarten funding effects, and that Logan teachers’ salaries, while above minimum, fall below standards for comparable districts.
