Visiting speakers and ritual services shape programs across Athens area churches. A Sino Japanese war talk by Miss B V Amo at the Presbyterian Church is planed. The Athens Church of the Nazarene hosts youth from 18 area churches Saturday night.
Dr. William G. Seaman will preach at 10 30 Sunday morning on Experience of God at the First Methodist Episcopal Church. The vested choir will sing Let the Heavens Be Glad and a duet I Love the Lord. Organ selections include Prelude Andante and Post Jude. Senior High Epworth League meets Sunday evening. Junior Queen Esthers hold a potluck supper and meeting.
The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd plans two Holy Communion services on Trinity Sunday June 12. The 8 a.m. regular service will be followed by a 10:30 a.m. service with a sermon by rector Rev. Robert G. Purrington. Church School dismisses until fall. Trinity Sunday marks the feast of the nature of God and Becket era origins.

The Athens church will read the Christian Science lesson subject God the Preserver of Man this Sunday June 12. Golden text from Isaiah 31 5 declares the Lord will defend deliver and preserve Jerusalem. The lesson includes II Samuel 22 1 2 and a Mary Baker Eddy passage on refuge in Truth and avoiding blind belief.
