Coal Company Wins Case In The Court Here
A jury ruled against Ray Wirz of Hamilton County who sued the Wirz Coal Company for 1576 dollars over a failure to complete a 25 car pea and slack coal contract at 1.85 a ton. The defense argued Wirz defaulted on payments and the company did not ratify a separate agreement to supply ten more cars. The case noted that coal price rises left Wirz paying higher rates for the ten cars.
