Hocking College awards demolition bid for Inn revamp
Hocking College trustees awarded the $329,290 demolition bid to Environmental Demolition Group for the Inn at Hocking College as part of a six year capital campaign. The project aims to create a Workforce Development and Training Center and 40 guest rooms with a completion target in August 2016. The bid came in under the architect's estimate and requires state Controlling Board approval before funds are released.

Ohio University announces Joel Baetens as director of Utilities in Facilities Management after a national search. Baetens, a Certified Energy Manager and Professional Engineer, previously led Energy and Utilities at Eastern Michigan University and holds a MS in Renewable Clean Energy from the University of Dayton and a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Oakland University. He starts Sept. 8 and will advance cleaner energy, energy conservation, and infrastructure upgrades on campus.

OU Trustees appoint new secretary
The Ohio University Board of Trustees named David Richard Moore as secretary to the board. He is a professor in the Patton College of Education and former Educational Studies chair, with 12 years at OU and eight years in the Naval Reserve.
