A daughter named Charolette Marie was born to Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Wheeler of Vinton Route 3. In Leon, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Sullivan welcomed their first child Donna Ann. One Dog Is Killed Speeding Charged in City Campaign
Chief of Police E F Geiger reports one dog killed as part of a city campaign to stop dogs from running at large. Several others handed to residents outside the city. Paul Bonecutter of Gallipolis Ferry was arrested after Geiger pursued him for speeding in the business district and on Route 2 near Henderson. he posted bond for appearance.

Mrs. King Rites Held at Beale Chapel Apple Grove
Funeral services for Viola King 23 formerly of Apple Grove were set for Friday at 2 p.m. in Beale Chapel Church with Rev. John Cornsfield Huntington in charge and burial in Beale Chapel cemetery. She is survived by husband Charles King Jr and three children Lloyd Twilla Patricia Ann plus parents Lonnie Keefer Huntington and Willa Keefer Leon plus brothers Lawrence Ray Bernard. The family noted she died Saturday in Albuquerque New Mexico after five weeks there seeking better health.
