Funeral services are planned Sunday at 2 p m for Abe John R Almashy 23 of Canaanville killed June 22 1949 in Okinawa when his jeep overturned He served in World War II with the Fourth Marine Division and re enlisted in the Army Air Force in 1948 Survivors include his parents three sisters and two brothers The Rev John DeVol will conduct services at Dowler and Ferguson funeral home with burial at West Un St Cemetery K T Crossen Post 21 American Legion to provide military honors.
