Berlin July 17. The wreckage of a plane and two bodies were found near Soldin Pomerania among strewn mail sacks. Authorities identified the dead as Stephen Darius and Stanley Girenas Lithuanian aviators who departed New York Saturday aiming to fly to Kovno Lithuania completing a trans Atlantic project.
Governor White said he would announce this week the date to recall the Ohio Legislature in a special session. Aiming to provide funds for relief and weak schools, the session may be in August to implement emergency taxation. Estimates show the plan would fall short by about ten million dollars. Half the furniture men joined while silk and full fashioned hosiery workers stayed at work.

Gallipolis reports a probe into the suspected death of Mrs. Ruby Ely with Frank Ely's alibi collapsing after Mrs. Ethel Wallace testified she did not see him from 9 p.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday. Ely claimed he and Wallace were together Saturday night at the Frank Walker home in Nelsonville. Officials, including Sheriff Hatfield and Police Chief Fraley, await further evidence and a Cincinnati detective is en route to lead the investigation.
Joseph W. Harriman former head of the Harriman National Bank vanished again as his sanity hearing in Federal Court neared. He left the Regent Nursing Home just as his lawyer arrived to confer. Police and federal agents were alerted to search for him amid prior fugitive activity and an indictment on 14 false bank entries.
Fire damaged the Gooding home on Richland Avenue but did not stop a family vacation. Mrs. Gooding and neighbors fought the blaze while two children aged nine months and three years were saved. The family continued their trip to Peebies Ohio for a week.
