Irwin elected president of Ohio Society of Professional Engineers
Dennis Irwin PhD PE dean of the Russ College of Engineering at Ohio University was chosen as president of the Ohio Society of Professional Engineers. He aims to steer educational and service activities promoting professional development ethics and health safety welfare in Ohio engineers. Irwin, a resident of Albany, holds multiple OU professorships and has earned OSPE Uncommon Engineer and Engineers Foundation of Ohio President's Awards.

Coty Inks $15 Billion Buy Of 43 P&G Beauty Brands
New York AP Coty will acquire 43 beauty brands from Procter & Gamble in a deal valued around 15 billion including 13.1 billion in stock and up to 3.9 billion in debt. The purchase spans P Gs salon professional hair care color retail cosmetics and fragrance units and brands such as Miss Clairol Cov ergirl Max Factor Sebastian Professional Sassoon Natural Instincts and Nice & Easy. The deal aims to broaden Cotys global reach especially in Brazil and Japan and is to be structured as a Reverse Mora ris Trust with P G shareholders receiving 52 percent and Coty 48 percent of stock in the combined company. The transaction is slated to close in H2 2016 with Coty boosting its quarterly dividend to 50 cents.
