Federal Hocking School Board approves staff changes

Two DWI charges heard in Athens County Court
Two men faced driving while intoxicated charges in Athens County Municipal Court on Wednesday. David E. Gould pleaded guilty and was fined 200 dollars, jailed seven days, and his license suspended 60 days. William Henry Smith pleaded innocent and faces an August 2 hearing. One DWI charge against Jack E. McAfferty was dismissed. he pled guilty to reckless operation and was fined 50 dollars.

Athens police continue an investigation into a Tuesday 1 13 a m alleged rape at the rear of the Elks Lodge on Union Street. No charges filed yet. A separate Tuesday evening hit and run damaged Linda Crowe's parked car at 117 Franklin Ave, driver not identified.
