The Passing of a Country Village Reminiscence
A reminiscence by J. B Hust recalls a rural Iowa village named Madsock in the 1930s. He wanders through childhood scenes: a brick church, the Phillips home, a leaky bucket, Loring Glazier’s store, neighbors and family, a schoolhouse, and the general storefronts that framed daily life in a fading country hamlet.
