Sesqui Junior Princesses Crowned in Logan Pageant
Janie Hawk and Janice Wymer won separate divisions of the Junior Miss Princess Competition during Logan's Sesquicentennial events. Awards went to runners up Cindy Kitchen and Theresa Sharb in the 7–11 group and Julie Brooker and Deborah Burgess in the 12–15 group. Local officials and judges included Harry Armstrong and Danny McDaniels. The evening closed with street dancing and rock band finals featuring the Invictas of Worthington.

Logan Ohio Hocking County Commissioners examined preliminary remodel plans for the old Hocking Valley Hospital to create office space for the Welfare Department. Architect Ronald A Burgess of Auble Mitchell Burgess and Associates prepared the project while the deed to the building moved from the hospital board.

York Job Training Plans for Logan Plant Jobs
Plans for a six week training program to prepare unemployed and under employed men for jobs at the Logan Lockheed Georgia plant were discussed this week by R L Boynton of Lockheed Georgia and Delbert Kuhn of the Ohio State Employment Service. The program starts July 25 at York High School with subsistence payments for trainees meeting requirements. Men may apply at the Logan Ohio State Employment Service office.
