Columbus July 1 The state director of adjusted compensation Roberts and staff audit unpaid bonus claims to determine funds required. The report will aid legislators at a special session in proposing a constitutional amendment to issue up to 10 008 000 in bonds for veteran bonuses from World War I. The audit also covers receipts and expenditures of the department with $70 000 in expenses and about 156 000 claims paid in four months.

Cincinnati July 1 John Gibson of Norwood is shocked by a live 2060 volt line while at an electrical shop. He is knocked unconscious ten feet away but later recovers, demanding discharge and walking home in a near miraculous recovery.
