Government Land In Mason County Sought For School
Plans discussed at a Mason County board of education meeting to enlarge the school system by pursuing government surplus property in the TNT area. The 47.58 acres with buildings could serve as a bus garage storage space and a vocational site, with a Feb. 10 deadline to strengthen the grant application. The Mason County Fair Board may also seek the same property, and a joint committee will study securing procedures with a report due Feb. 7. Dr. Leonard Brown noted remodeling would be minimal and the resort sale may provide senior high or junior college facilities if obtained.
