Wounded Civil War Officers Return Home on Leave

Capt. J. M. Weveu of the 18th O V I is home on short leave after a January 2 wound and left Murfreesboro for Nashville papers. Lieut. S. C. Gorn of the 13th O V T is seriously wounded in the hip, the ball passing through and causing a severe flesh wound. Adj. H. H. Wercu is also at home.

Rebels Attack Bridge Guards Near Franklin Tenn

Nasavinun, Dan, L Correst, Stearns and Wheeler were at Franklin Tennessee yesterday with 6000 cavalry. Rebels attacked the bridge guards on the Chattanooga road ten miles from the city today but were repulsed with two killed and several wounded. We lost one man.
