The Athens County Taxpayers Association expanded last night as Albany joined Troy and Bern Townships. About 150 people from Lee and Alexander Townships attended in the Opera House to hear Rev E H Clark of Coolville. G C Hunter of Albany was named chairman with E M Baughman as secretary. The group aims to equalize taxation and may hold a countywide meeting in Athens within a week or 10 days. Rev Wilson, once linked to the Ku Klux Klan, now leads the movement and says the local body is not yet part of the national Taxpayers League.
