City council approves land sale to state highway department
Resolution No R449 authorizes sale of about 0.4 acres east of Home Street to the Ohio Department of Highways for 375 dollars with an emergency clause. It also authorizes contracts with the U S Corps of Engineers to compact about 19 700 cubic yards of embankment for the Stimson Avenue extension between the B and O railroad and the Hocking River, at 12 cents per cubic yard, approved by the Service Safety Director and Mayor.
