Funeral Sunday at Cumberland Presbyterian church, Albany, conducted by Rev. J. H. Kirkpatrick. She leaves parents, two sisters, one brother, and is aunt to several locals. Funeral attendees included relatives from McConnelsville and Athens.

Jacob Hensler aged 41 died eight hours after being struck by a large slate piece while preparing to touch off a shot in the new mine at New Finenwood. He came from Wellston to work for Slater and Poston Coal Co. His wife and family remained in Wellston. Remains sent back there for interment.

Death of William C Malcolm in Columbus at 75
William C Malcolm died Saturday at his Columbus home from a complication of diseases at about 75. He spent most of his life near Newark and was known in Athens County and Snow Forks valley for developing mineral resources.
