37 Die As Avianca Jet Crashes On Landing At Montego Bay
A Colombian airliner from New York to South America crashed during landing at Montego Bay Jamaica killing 37 people. Nine survived including four passengers and five crew. The plane had engine trouble and was overdue for Montego Bay. Among the dead: Thomas Capehart and wife Nancy of Indianapolis. The flight departed Idlewild at 10 am Wednesday, wrecking at 2:35 am.
