Commissioners Take Cruiser Bid and Grave Relocation
LOGAN The Hocking County commissioners received a bid for a sheriff cruiser from Tansky Motors at 3308 dollars and arranged six months of hydroscopic road equipment rental with Marx Tractor Co at 1250 dollars a month. They approved disinterring bodies from Trowbridge Cemetery for reburial in County Home Cemetery to free graves, notifying relatives, as the old site lies in a county gravel pit and burial space is limited.

Hocking County commissioners voted Thursday to sell the former Hocking Valley Hospital on West Main Street for 38 500 after determining remodeling costs were too high. They cited bond limits and potential federal aid costs, and plan to seek bids while pursuing other office space options. The courthouse is crowded and space for the Tri County Community Action Program is provided free. The commission noted plans to coordinate with welfare agencies to locate additional space after reviewing builder recommendations.
