New Ohio Districts Proposed By ROBERT E. MILLER in Columbus
Ohio lawmakers move toward a new reapportionment plan to be presented in the May primary. John M. McElroy and Attorney General Saxbe say the plan would use the current temporary map until after the 1970 census, with firmer guidelines for the apportionment board. The House debates a large pay-raise bill for about 45,000 state workers, with cabinet members potentially gaining up to 10 000 annually. The reapportionment plan mirrors last year’s plan, ordered temporarily by a federal court.
