Dog tags free for first 10 to adopt from shelter
The first ten dogs adopted this year from the Athens County Dog Shelter will receive free licenses. Donors include ten elected officials who chip in for the $26 license, $16 for spayed or neutered pets, with purchases through January 31. Tags available at the auditor’s office, dog shelter, or online with a processing fee. Licenses for kennels only at the auditor’s office.
