Needy families in Stewart will receive aid from a Christmas project organized by Bucyrus high school students led by Larry Schiefer. Donations of canned goods and shoes will be distributed at the Stewart United Methodist Church from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday with help from Rev. Edwin Lewis and Rev. Paul Johnson.

The Red Cross bloodmobile will visit Athens at the First United Methodist Church on College Street from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday seeking 10 B-Positive donors to aid an eight month old boy needing open heart surgery at Children’s Hospital in Columbus the next day.
