Gallia County Drives Support For March of Dimes
Gallia County launches a county wide drive for March of Dimes funds. Donation containers appear in banks stores and gas stations while a mothers group and a committee led by Jones and McGinniss solicit gifts. A basketball game between Rio Grande College and Wright Patterson Field will raise funds for the polio effort. Dr. Ashe notes 1952 polio costs of 15000 with only 4127 receipts, urging stronger totals this year to cover the shortfall.
