Thermometer hits fifteen below zero setting a 30 year cold record in the city. Readings ranged from 10 to 18 below at various locations with 13 to 19 below reported. Schools remained in session though cars froze and thawing garages were busy. Warmer weather expected tonight into Thursday.
U R Thomas D Schall Republican today warned that the administration plans to gag the press through the Communications Commission. He said the administration aims to follow all legislation to ensure no word of press dispatches reaches the public without approval.
