Glouster residents hosted and visited relatives over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ross of Columbus stayed with grandparents in Greens Run. Edna Bingman returned home after visits in Nelsonville Columbus. Franklin Mingus, wounded in Vietnam, remains at Walter Reed Hospital, with visitors from Jacksonville. Multiple local families hosted relatives from Columbus Trimble Long Island and Athens during the weekend.
The Greens Run Ladies Aid met in the Parish House with hostesses Ada McCaskey and Roxie Lowry. Members celebrated birthdays for Donna Russell Janet Gwilym and Elsie Ross. Delphia McClelland led singing and prayer, games awarded Evelyn Russell Donna Russell and door prize to Freda Simons. Ten members attended refreshments followed. Next meeting set for March 13.

Miss Ann Williams hosted the Rothwell Club at the Hotel Gordon on Thursday afternoon. After a brief business session and prayer by Mrs. Dave Cox, she spoke on Expo 67 noting Canada’s century celebration and a 70 nation entries. A dessert was served to 14 members with patriotic décor. The next meeting is March 7 with Mrs. C A Pride hosting and Mrs. Harold Wagner in charge.
A West Virginia Heart Association program supplies penicillin to 536 residents for rheumatic fever prevention, led by Dr. Morris H. O'Dell. Six Mason County patients are among those receiving treatment under the long range plan.
