Miss Genevra Thompson aged 19 was found dead in her room at the Athens home of Dr. and Mrs. W. L. Slutz after a fall on icy streets. Coroner and post mortem attributed death to fatty degeneration of the heart. Funeral services set for Clarks Chapel.

Death of Albert Bowser After Ice Accident in Washington
Miss Ida Bowser of Athens Gas Light and Electric Company reports the death of her brother Albert Bowser in Washington D C. The telegraph operator aged about six slipped on ice Friday, breaking his left leg and dying Saturday from the shock. He was known in Cincinnati and was formerly from Lancaster where his remains were buried. Funeral services were held Tuesday with Miss Bowser attending.
