Black Pigeon and the Engagement in Starbridge Building
Ruth Lester, a secretary in Handsome Harry Borden’s office, orchestrates a staged clever ruse to hide her engagement to Jack Hayward. A pet black pigeon, named Satan, and Ruth’s disguise with spectacles and powder fuel office gossip as Ruth navigates Borden’s scheming finance world and Benny’s teasing. The scene ends with Ruth preparing to leave for bank and station to join Jack for a celebration.
