Athens County approves 14.9 million temporary operating budget
The Athens County Commissioners adopted a 14.913 million dollar temporary 2016 General Fund operating budget by a 2-0 vote with Commissioner Chris Chmiel absent. The permanent 2016 General Fund may be approved as early as Jan 5 but must be finalized by March 31. Eliason and Adkins approved, with Eliason abstaining on the Municipal Court budget due to a conflict of interest.
