Federated Church Youth Present Christmas Program
In Pomeroy the Federated Church youth staged a Christmas program featuring 24 recitations and a play with a 62-member cast from primary to junior divisions. The event opened with a reading of the Christmas Story and prayers, followed by the “Everywhere, Everywhere Christmas Tonight” play by the intermediate department and a December carol singalong. A 25-member junior department cast performed “When The Bells Chimed.” Santa distributed gift treats to participants, with ushers from the Robert Wilson class. In the same area, Katie Stewart of New Haven resigned from the Blue and Grey Bus Station after three years of service assisting inductees and delivering the Messenger’s Pomeroy news letter. Mid-port reports Ernest Bowles and wife mourn the loss of their granddaughter at St. Ann’s Hospital, Columbus.
