Cleveland church secretaries plan to form a nonsectarian organization with East and West Side chapters. At a meeting Rev. Robert Winegarner noted that full-time church secretaries have become common only in the last decade as churches grow and ministers juggle multiple duties.
Rev Harold M Warehime of Louisville Theological Seminary told the National Convocation on the Church In Town and Country in Atlanta that floods of people have joined churches during a revival. He cautioned that churches must address emptiness and other modern stresses in an affluent, technology driven era to keep these participants engaged.
