Col umbus Zoo celebrates Cole tenth birthday
The Columbus Zoo commemorates Cole the gorilla’s 10th birthday. Cole, born December 22 1956, weighed four pounds at birth and grew to about 140 pounds. Zoo staff recall early rescue efforts and care, and hope Cole and her companion Bongo may soon produce a second generation.
