Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at Clark's chapel conducted by Rev D D Canfield with interment at the cemetery.
Prof B D Rigley delivered the final lecture on civil government in the old college chapel urging citizens to fulfill duties to town state and nation and placing emphasis on aiding to place the best men in office He urged temperance and praised the lectures as highly educational and a rare treat for those who heard them
Solomon Fill, a pioneer of this township born in Massachusetts eighty five years ago, died Friday evening at his home near Hixon. He moved to Ohio at an early age and was known for integrity and active involvement in community service. Funeral services were held at his residence by Rev. Reeman on Sunday with interment at Hixon cemetery.

The sixteen year old Chelsa Ross, son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Ross, died Saturday after weeks of brain illness. Funeral services were held Monday at the Protestant church, conducted by the pastor, with interment in Marshfield Cemetery.
The Zion Baptist Church announces a Christmas sermon by the pastor on Sunday morning at 10 30. The Sunday school plans to secure periodicals for 1900 from the National Baptist Publishing House.
