Dr D G Dickerson of the U S Public Health Service told the Washington board of trade that drug addiction is rising in the capital with "decks" of morphine cocaine and heroin sold by itinerant vendors near the White House and Capitol. He estimated about 1004 addicts and noted cocaine morphine and heroin are easily obtainable within sight of government centers.
New Orleans Dec 26 The whereabouts of three officers and 60 men of the Louisiana National Guard were undetermined as troops were ordered from Monroe to Met Rouge. Governor Parker would neither confirm nor deny the report that troops had been sent to Met Rouge where masked men are charged with pandering Wat Daniel and Thomas Richards several months ago.
