Virginia Tech narrowly defeated Ohio State 68 67 as Bobby Stevens scored 14 of his 18 after halftime on coach Don Devoe orders. Stevens and Charlie Thomas sparked a late rally to tie and Craig Lieder sealed the win with a three point play. Ohio State led 51 43 midway through the second half.
