A 35 year old Tazewell Virginia filling station attendant Roy Bennett was held without bail in the Tazewell County jail on a charge of fatally poisoning his estranged wife Annie Bennett mother of seven. Chemists at the Virginia state health department in Richmond found traces of strychnine in her stomach liver and spleen after the woman died last Monday. Autopsy earlier failed to show poisoning but an analysis was ordered after a Bennett child said Daddy gave momma a pill and told her not to say anything about it.
