OU shifts from coal to natural gas heating at campus

Ohio University has fully moved to natural gas for heating, eliminating coal use since 2011. The change halves the campus carbon footprint, removes smokestack infrastructure this spring, and supports a broader Climate Action Plan. Two temporary gas boilers replace coal boilers, with permanent boilers due by 2017.

Last 9 11 artifacts at Kennedy hangar being given away

At Kennedy Airport an 80 000 square foot hangar holds 200 remaining items from 9/11 stored by the Port Authority after 14 years. The collection, once over 2,000 strong, includes shirts with price tags, mannequins, rusted antenna parts, and a PATH train car bound for the Trolley Museum of New York for a Sept 11 wing display.
