Christmas Pony Delights Children at Athens Shrine Event

Children at the Athens County Shrine Club and the Children's Home received a pet pony named Bill as a Christmas gift. The event occurred Sunday afternoon in cold weather, with youngsters joyfully petting Bill and riding him around the grounds. A Shrine Club member noted older children already ride two horses, but younger kids need a pony, giving the home new companionship. The children thanked the Shriners with a singing prayer.
